The main symptom of vertigo is, of course, dizziness. However, the duration and severity of the dizziness can vary.
For instance, in the case of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, the dizziness typically lasts for just a few seconds or around ten seconds and is related to the sense of body position.

On the other hand, vertigo caused by Meniere's disease may persist for about half a day to a full day. Additionally, it may be accompanied by symptoms such as tinnitus, a feeling of ear fullness, and hearing loss.
