Whether periodontitis can be cured depends on the severity of the condition.
If it is mild periodontitis in the early stage, with shallow periodontal pockets and no significant loss of bone attachment, it can be cured.
However, if it progresses to the advanced stage, with deep periodontal pockets, significant bone attachment loss, and obvious tooth looseness, it is not easy to cure.

Once periodontitis occurs, a comprehensive periodontal treatment is required, including ultrasonic scaling, periodontal root planing, periodontal irrigation and medication.
For cases with substantial bone attachment loss, periodontal surgery with bone grafting can also be performed.
