General encephalitis refers to an inflammatory lesion of the brain parenchyma. It is a relatively serious central nervous system infection caused by different etiologies, such as viruses, bacteria, or fungi.
If not treated in a timely manner, it may indeed leave serious sequelae, such as:1. Limb movement disorders2. Intellectual disabilities3. Aphasia4. Ocular paralysis5. Dysphagia

If treatment for the sequelae is initiated late, the results will be relatively poor. Although some functions can be restored through rehabilitation methods like hyperbaric oxygen therapy, it is difficult to achieve a complete recovery.
