Colles' fracture, also known as Coille's fracture, refers to the cancellous bone fracture at the lower end of the radius.
The fracture occurs in the cancellous bone area within a range of 0.8 to 1.2 inches from the lower end of the radius.

It is one of the most common fractures in the human body, accounting for 10% of all fractures, mostly in adults.
When children are subjected to the same violence, it can cause epiphyseal separation at the lower end of the radius.
