Expert Medical Information

Losartan Potassium Tablets are the world's first angiotensin II receptor antagonist for treating hypertension. Multiple clinical studies have shown that Losartan Potassium effectively lowers blood pressure, reduces cardiovascular risks, and delays the progression of end-stage renal disease. This medication provides 24-hour potent blood pressure reduction, long-term stable blood pressure control, improved circadian blood pressure rhythm, and cardiovascular and renal protection, with a high safety profile. For most patients, the initial and maintenance dose is 50mg once daily. The maximum blood pressure-lowering effect is typically achieved within 3-6 weeks of treatment. Some patients may experience additional blood pressure reduction by increasing the dose to 100mg once daily. Adverse reactions to this medication are generally mild and transient, usually not requiring discontinuation of treatment. No initial dose adjustment is necessary for elderly patients or those with renal impairment, including those undergoing hemodialysis. Patients with a history of hepatic impairment should consider using a lower dose. This medication is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Common symptoms include fever, fatigue, and discomfort in the affected area. Always consult with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis.
Diagnosis typically involves a physical examination, medical history review, and possibly laboratory tests or imaging studies depending on the suspected cause.
Treatment options vary based on the specific condition, severity, and individual health factors. They may include medication, lifestyle changes, physical therapy, or in some cases, surgical intervention.
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe symptoms, rapid worsening of condition, or if self-care measures aren't providing relief within a reasonable timeframe.
